Site updates

I decided one of the things that has been missing from this site is a copy of my resumé. Since I decided to update my resumé today I figured I should go ahead and post it here as well. I am hoping I can update it soon with a new position. It is definitely time for me to move on from my current job. I like my employer, just not my current job. On a lighter note, the Fall theme for the site is now live. Look for the Christmas theme to go live the day after Thanksgiving (US).

One of the things that has always bothered me since I transitioned to the newest version of this site is that I didn't have my Gallery integrated with my site at all. If you wanted to look at my pictures you where taken to a separate page with a completely separate theme. The gallery will still have it's own theme until I have time to make new ones to match the site, but going between the home page and the gallery should now be as seamless as going to any other page on this site. Basically I am just using an iframe so if you want access it the old way just do a CRTL + Left Mouse click or SHIFT + Left mouse click (depending on your browser and preferences) on any link on the gallery page. Test it out by taking a look at my two most recent additions, by taking a look at my Prowler Construction pictures in the Worlds of Fun area and the new Schlitterbahn Vacation Village gallery.

On my old site I had a Halloween and Christmas theme. I decided that this site needed the same treatment. Since Halloween is only 60 days away I am making the theme live today. Let me know what you think by sending me a message using the Contact Me link.

In case you hadn't noticed I wanted to point out a few changes I have made to the site. First, I have rearranged some of my blocks. I had no particular reason for doing so, I just felt like changing things up a bit. I also added two new features. The First is the "Popular Terms" block. You have probably seen something similar to this on one site or another. This feature allows users to see every tag I use on my posts and to see all posts related to that tag. Additionally, I assume it will also help add more search terms for Google's index of my site. The other update I added was I went ahead and added a block dedicated to updates on my Twitter account. I update Twitter about once a day so I figured it adds fresh content to the site every day. During my trips to Disney Parks I will be using Twitter to make posts on Twisney. During those times there will be posts several times a day, if not hourly. I hope you like the new additions, and as always feel free to let me know what you think by using the Contact Me form.

Over the course of a week or so I tinkered and coded using Drupal to build this site. The majority of this site was completed in about a day, but importing all my posts took some time. I could have used the import feature of Drupal, but I wanted to make sure all the links and pictures were coded correctly. There are still some things I want to do with this site, but probably nothing that the average visitor will notice.
