Prowler Media/Season Passholder Preview Day

Prowler LogoToday was a day that I had been looking forward to for well over a year. It had been rumored for quite some time that Worlds of Fun was going to be getting a new wooden roller coaster for the 2009 operating season. Clues gradually started showing up last year with survey flags, construction materials, and labels indicating the manufacturer. On Labor Day last year the press announcement was made confirming that Worlds of Fun was going to be getting a new world-class wooden coaster. I lieu of doing a full on report of the event, I would rather show you everything that was going on. Click on through to see my photo report.

Time to wave goodbye for the dayTime to wave goodbye for the day

Valerie and I both thought this was a fantastic coaster. We are so glad that we will be able to ride something this awesome so close to home. We took a ride in both the front and in the back. The air-time in both is great, but the view in the front can't be beat. This may be the first woodie that I will ride more often in the front. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind and I have the whole summer to decide. If you are hungry for more pictures you can check them out in my Gallery.
