If you have been following my photo blog you have probably seen some teaser pics from my Halloween set up for this year. If you haven't checked it out recently that's okay too. I needed to take a break from theme park posts and decided that there was no better way than to summarize my haunt progress thus far. All of the photos that are below were taken with my BlackBerry 8330 so the pictures are a little grainy. I plan on taken better pictures with my regular camera, but for the time being these will have to suffice. Over the next couple of weeks I still have more work to do and I will continue to post more pics on my photo blog. A few days before Halloween I will post a large overview of both the outside and inside of my house. Until then, enjoy this preview.
Graveyard gate: For the last couple of years I have done a fence around my yard for my graveyard. This is the gate for that fence with skull finials
Odd Storage Container: Last year I made a toe-pincher coffin to add to my haunt. When I was building it I realized it would also make for a good storage container for my supplies.
Skeleton in a noose: I have had this noose since the first year I started my haunt. It is a deadman's noose (13 rings) and for the main section it took over 20 feet of rope. Last year I added the skeleton.
Coffin: Here is the coffin residing in its regular place in the yard. In the background you can see more of the fence.
Boarded up windows: I was reading a Halloween blog last year and someone had pointed out that their graveyard didn't look spooky enough with their nice house in the background so they boarded up the windows. My house isn't as nice so I think the effect works even better.
Cat eyes: I always gets lots of compliments on this. My next door neighbor likes this decoration the most.
Keep Out!: This is a new addition for this year. Also notice the off-kilter shutter. That isn't by accident.
Crypt Keeper: One of the new additions for inside the house. Keep an eye on my photoblog for more updates.

Nice...
I know I've seen them already, but it's cool to see them all together. It's progressing nicely. You have almost transformed your house. I agree with the neighbor: the eyes are a nice touch. But, my favorite would have to be the front door.
I love Halloween
I hope when I finally get a house I can get it half as creepy as yours!!! looking good as always my friend...
Does boarding up the windows
Does boarding up the windows put a bunch of holes in your house?
Only a couple of screw holes
Only a couple of screw holes in the window frame, and not very deep either. I use 1 1/4" screws and they just barely grab in to the frame. I try my best to reuse the same holes as well. Only the vertical boards are screwed into the frame. The rest are screwed into the other boards.
