Before I changed over this site to be PHP based I had attained a #1 search ranking on Google with the terms Bradley Robertson. Once I switched over I quickly lost that ranking and I was buried several pages deep. Now I have once again regained that ranking. One of the things I attribute that to is that previously I didn't have meta descriptions of key words for my site. Unlike a lot of people I didn't spam my key words. Mainly I was getting my ranking from my page title. Unfortunately when I switched formats the title was BradleyRobertson.com Now it is of course Bradley Robertson dot com. This made my keyword easier to index.

In addition, I created a newer more accurate site map and submitted it to Google. Granted, it's not like "Bradley Robertson" Is a highly sought after search term. But, I like the fact that if anyone from my past wants to contact me I am easily found. Additionally it is nice to know that a potential employer will be able to easily find me. I would rather they find me here where I can control the content versus somewhere else.
