I decided one of the things that has been missing from this site is a copy of my resumé. Since I decided to update my resumé today I figured I should go ahead and post it here as well. I am hoping I can update it soon with a new position. It is definitely time for me to move on from my current job. I like my employer, just not my current job. On a lighter note, the Fall theme for the site is now live. Look for the Christmas theme to go live the day after Thanksgiving (US).

I try not to write about work very much for a few reasons. One of them is that what I do is pretty boring. The moment I tell someone that I work in billing you can just see the thought bubble rise from their head saying, "Quick find a way to walk away from this guy before he bores me to death." Another reason is that the company I work for has a very specific policy on what you can and can't post on blogs, forums, and chat rooms. So to stay on the safe side I try not to say anything all. There are other reasons as well I post about my job, but it's not worth getting into here.

Well, it is finally Friday. On Monday I knew it was going to be a long week, but not only did it feel longer than I expected, it isn’t over yet. Where I work a few of us rotate being on-call. Without going into the particulars, I already know tonight that I am going to have to go in on Saturday. No, my equivalent to Lumberg didn’t ask me to go in. As I was leaving work tonight an on-call issue came up. I expected to get a call within a few minutes. Well, a few hours later I still have not received a call. Which means they will probably call me at 8 AM on Saturday. So like I said, the week is not even over yet.

I have been trying to figure out all week what I wanted to post about. I kept trying to find some new issue that I didn’t feel was being covered adequately in the news, or some obscure piece of media. I can to the realization today that I don’t have the drive or the desire to be some sort of professional blogger. The blogging world moves too fast for my tastes. It is react now, or be left in obscurity kind of culture. So instead, I think I am just going to post what I find interesting in the future even if it has been beaten to death by the rest of the net by the time I write about it.

One last thing, I know I mentioned previously that I was going to be adding more content to the site. As of right now that looks like that might get delayed a little bit. I have another site that I am trying to get going and I have a lot of interest from the target audience, so right now I think that is going to be my priority. I will still try to post here a couple times a week, but unfortunately no new content for a least a week or two.
