Meet me in St. Louis (Part 2)

In my last post I explained that we had got in to St. Louis on a Friday and walked around downtown until it started to rain. The next morning we went to my friend Kate's wedding, and spent the following afternoon walking around. That evening, her reception was slated to start at 5:30 Since the reception was not at the hotel, Kate provided transportation to The Franklin Room about 2 miles away. I had thought this was provided by the hotel as a result of booking so many rooms. I think her group had about 30-40 rooms at the hotel, and there were at least 90 of us staying there. Later that evening I found out that Kate had booked the transportation both to and from the hotel. This turned to be very advantageous for everyone who attended.

I spent this last weekend in St. Louis, MO. My wife and I had two main purposes for making this trip. The first was to see my friend Kate get married. The other, was to have our season passes to Six Flags validated. We are taking a trip to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in June, and we needed to use our passes at St. Louis first otherwise they wouldn't work at other parks. Otherwise we had no real plans for the weekend. We had talked about taking a ride on the Gateway Arch or seeing a Cardinals game, but neither become a reality.
I took today off...
Submitted by Bradley Robertson on Thu, 04/05/2007 - 11:08am.I have wanted to take a day off for a least a month now, but there didn't seem to be a good day to do it. Today I have an eye doctor's appointment mid-day so I figured I might as well take the entire day off. I will say there is a problem with just taking one day off. I feel like I have a weeks worth of stuff that I want to get done today. Since I know I won't get all of it done, it is hard for me to get motivated to do anything. However, I have made a short list of things I want to get done today that are achievable.
After my appointment I plan on going to Tandy Leather . I need to pick up some supplies to make a belt for the Rebel Fleet Trooper that I mentioned previously. I finished the shirt last weekend as planned, and I was able to start making the necessary modifications to the Hasbro blaster. Now all I need to do is paint it. I probably will be waiting until the weekend to work on both of those.
Once I get back from Tandy Leather I plan on making some more updates to the StarWarsKC.com site. I need to add a bunch of calendar events that are coming up in the next 6-8 weeks. and if I have time I will be adding some new pages for each of the groups that I am trying to represent. If I have time after that I am going to make some updates to this site as well.
